ASTHMA Diseases of the Nose
The nose is not only the upper part of the passage through which air enters the lungs; it also inner organ-the main part of the cavity which is placed above the roof of the lodges the organ which furnishes the sense of smell. The outer part of the nose is not of much importance except aesthetically; it is the mouth-which is the real nose.
The diseases to which the nose is susceptible are many, the chief among them being rhinitis (inflammation) which may become chronic if not treated in time. According to Ayurveda, the number of diseases relating to the nose is thirty-four. About a dozen of them are various forms of inflammation and the rest pertain to tumors or boils from which pus oozes out or foul-smelling phlegm is produced.
Common Cold (Pratishyaya)

This is an irritating condition which is not fatal, but if neglected for a long time, it can create complications best avoided by timely attention.
The common cold is generally treated lightly both by patients and physicians as is clear from the old adage: 'If you take medicine for a cold, it cures in a week, otherwise it takes seven days. Causes and Symptoms: Ayurveda has recognized five types of cold or Pratishyaya as those
