Foreword
In India the human body is equated to a temple in which the Atma resides and is the presiding deity. Therefore, it is enjoined upon every human being to look after the body, to nourish it, cherish and love it so that the body can, not only perform all the natural functions, but also be an instrument of greater purpose. There is a Sanskrit saying which translates as: 'The body indeed is the perfect instrument for achieving Enlightenment. more
