Table 1 : Procedure of the treatments.
| Patient’s category | Dosage of the drug | Frequency | Duration of the treatment | | Azoospermic patients | 45 ml | Twice daily | 5 – 9 months | | Oligospermic and Other sub fertile patients | 30 ml | Twice daily | 3 – 6 months | Assessment of Results
14 numbers of Azoospermia patients and 36nos. of Oligospermia & other sub fertile diseases affected patients were identified in the sample. Figure 1 shows the composition of Azoospermic and other sub fertile diseases affected patients within the selected sample
Figure 1: Composition of Azoospermic & Other sub fertile patients within the sample.
All selected couples had been conceived within different time periods and under the different levels of sperm count. Some couples had been taken lesser time period to conceive while others had taken longer time period. Some couples had been conceived at lower level of sperm counts while others had conceived at higher level of sperm counts.
Seminal fluid analysis reports of the sample were investigated and recorded the increasing pattern of the sperm count. While evaluating the results, two different increasing patterns of the sperm count were identified. Some patients have shown direct increasing pattern while others have shown fluctuating pattern of the sperm counts. There may be hidden reasons for these fluctuations and an in-depth analysis has to be done to get a real picture of this variations.
i. Direct increasing pattern
Within the sample, eighteen patients have shown direct increasing pattern of their sperm count. Figure 2 shows how the sperm count has been increased during the period of treatments ( sample graph ).
ii. Fluctuating pattern
Out of the fifty samples, thirty two patients have shown fluctuating pattern f their sperm count. These patients’ sperm counts have been gone up and down without any similarity. Figure 3 shows how the sperm count has been fluctuated during the period of treatments ( sample graph ).
Figure 3 : Sperm count fluctuating pattern
When compare to the starting figure of the sperm counts (first investigation report), 80% of patients had been increased their sperm counts and 20% of patients had been decreased their sperm counts, at the point of conception (See Figure 4). When consider this 20% segment, the females had been conceived under the decreased sperm counts. Therefore it can be said that, other than the sperm count there may be some other factor / factors which can be affected to the conception and ayurvedic treatments may have an affect to improve those factor / factors. Again it is another research area to be filled in future.

CONCLUSION
- Ayurvedic medicines can give a remarkable improvement for the sperm count.
- Azoospermic patients can be successfully treated and increased their sperm counts with ayurvedic medicines.
- Sperm counts may show different behavioral patterns while giving ayurvedic treatments. Sperm counts may directly increase or fluctuate according to the patient’s conditions.
- When compare to the starting figure of the sperm counts (first seminal fluid analysis report ), there is a 80% possibility to increase the sperm count at the point of conception.
- Other than the sperm count there may be some other factor / factors which can be affected to the conception. In the same way ayurvedic treatments may have a considerable affect on those hidden factor / factors.
